Hello! My name is Kristy Stemle, and I am proud to be part of the 5th/6th-grade team. This is my third year at OLPH and my sixth year of teaching.

I graduated from IU Southeast in 2003 and earned my teaching certificate from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2022. I will also receive my master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2026.

In 2020, I decided to return to school online to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. Teaching truly brings happiness and purpose to my life, and I am honored that you trust me with your child each day.

I have lived in New Albany my entire life, and my family has deep roots at OLPH. My dad attended school here, my parents were married here, and I received my Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation at OLPH. My daughter was also baptized here, making OLPH a very special part of our family’s story.

I have one daughter, Brooklyn. She graduated from PHS in 2023 and is currently attending Bellarmine University. She plans to graduate in May 2027 with a double major in Digital and Graphic Design and then attend the University of Louisville to pursue her postgraduate degree.

I am also currently planning my wedding for 2028 with my fiancé, Logan. He proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle during spring break this year, making it a truly magical moment!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, visiting the beach and Disney, and taking relaxing walks with my toy poodle, Archie. I am excited for another wonderful year at OLPH and look forward to getting to know you and your child!
