Red Ribbon Week- Next week- Oct. 27-31 is Red Ribbon Week designated in schools to bring awareness to drug abuse and to send our young people an anti-drug message. The theme is ?Love Yourself-Be Drug Free!?
Here are the special events each day:
Mon., Oct. 27- Our Lady is drug-free! Wear an Our Lady spirit shirt today! ( Jeans and tennis shoes, but no sweatpants or yoga pants as with all spirit days!)
Tues., Oct. 28- Don't be Crazy! Don't do Drugs! Crazy Hair Day! Wigs, hats, crazy hair-dos!
Wed., Oct. 29- Love Yourself! Stay Drug Free! Wear heart stickers. Write cards, letters of support to residents at rehab centers. This is an All-School Mass day.
Thurs., Oct. 30- Walk Away from Drugs! Wear silly socks, mismatched footwear!
Friday, Oct, 31- We're Too Cool to do Drugs! Boo! Scare Away Drugs! Walkathon! Students, faculty and staff in costume! Bring in at least a dollar to join the Walkathon and contribute to the health of those fighting drug abuse.
(We are in uniform on Tues., Wed., Thurs. except for the exceptions of hats and socks as noted above!)
